MINISTRY DESCRIPTION:

  • Work closely with NYCAC/3Stone Pastors and lay leaders within the target ministry (Children, Youth, Young Adults, etc.) to encourage spiritual growth by studying scripture, worship, prayer, service, and fellowship.

  • Train new lay leaders through discipleship and mentorship.

  • Develop relationships through group contact, mail, e-mail, phone, social media, and in person

  • Meet regularly with the Ministry/Pastoral team for prayer, planning, communication, and evaluation.

  • Assist Counselors/Leaders in planning and executing ministry programs (Bible studies, fellowships, special events, retreats, and outreaches)

  • Assist with communication, social media outreach, and online presence

  • Assist in leading meetings and accompanying counselors on special events and mission trips.

  • Maintain personal, spiritual, and professional growth.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Growing commitment to the Christian faith, the body of Christ, and God’s work in the world.

  • Ability to work effectively with the target group, exhibiting creativity, understanding, and patience.

  • Ability to verbally articulate personal faith and a Christian worldview.

  • Applicant should attend seminary/bible college or be in the process of discernment about a call to ministry.

  • Must agree with C&MA Statement of Faith.

TIME COMMITMENT:

A minimum of six (6) month commitment is required. The internship will require approx. 10-15 hours per week, including Sunday mornings and some evenings. The staff will communicate other dates and times

EVALUATIONS:

Pastoral Staff will assess performance during the internship after four weeks and then every eight weeks subsequently. Additional assessments can be provided to satisfy the Field Experience credit.
